Poor Service and missed delivery dates
Placed order online as they ask you to do. Order says it will be delivered three days later.
Order does not come, I call and speak with associate. Delivery is set for Saturday. Friday they call me, associate does not know why, she said must have been late call. Saturday morning I call, because I have not received email notification of shipment.
Associate states one out of three prescriptions they can't break the bottle so nothing is shipped. Which is a lie as they have shipped only 10 each to me in the past. The one medication I needand only take once a week, I was out of on Sunday after ordering a week earlier.
Today is Monday and still no order. can'tipped.

Worst Service Ever
WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY to much to write here. It would take 15 minutes and thousands of characters of which no one at CVS would probably read or react to.

I finally received the medicine that I ordered in May. I hit refill on the new prescription, as soon as the option was available.
That was 6/15/21, it's now 6/24/21 and I'm still waiting on that refill to be approved and processed... EVERY SINGLE MONTH there's an issue, if I weren't bound by my insurance to use this company, I would never use them again..
I logged in and hit REFILL (a good script, with 4 refills remaining) on my medications on 5/2/2021 and scheduled a delivery date of 5/18/2021 (when I would be running out of pills). I called on 5/19/2021 to inquire about why I didn't receive my transplant medications.
It took three solid days of phone calls from both myself and my doctor to try and get this REFILL filled. And then when the courier finally delivered it, it was only 30 days worth of medicine, NOT the 90 days like the script said, and when I called, yet again, they couldn't answer as to how this could have happened.

Preferred solution: transplant medications delivered ON TIME and CORRECT! an answer as to WHY no one called from 5/2 until I called on 5/19 - to tell me there was an issue with the script. 22 DAYS TO REFILL LIFESAVING MEDICATION IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!

CVS Pharmacy has to be the MOST INCOMPETENT company I have ever dealt with in my entire life!!!!! They LIE, do NOT do their simple jobs and defer the blame.
I am SO done with this *** *** company, I can not even see straight.
My daughter's life depends on a monthly injection that has to be administered every 4 weeks. For the past year they have ALWAYS been a week to 10 days off the schedule, despite me ordering the medication 3 weeks prior to the re-fill date and calling every single month to verify authorizaion and delivery!!!!!!!!!!!
And, YES, I am looking for another pharmacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obtaining a special medicine for my mom diagnosed with cancer
Every time I called to get an update on when my mom's medicine would be available, the person told me that the request was cancelled (twice) or the insurance was wrong, or she is not in the system or blah, blah, blah.
Each different person I spoke with had NO pass-down of the previous calls and their resolutions. Then I got an automated call to verify the address and billing, but the person I spoke with said she wasn't in the system.
Maddening! Still waiting for her medicine and the resolution from them.
This is day 3 and I have spoken to 8 different people

So frustrating been trying to get my new prescription for three weeks now. I call and they tell me the Dr didn't send prescription right.
The Dr has sent the prescription to them 7 different times. then they say it is a insurance issue, but I have the prior approval. know they say the insurance needs to do an over ride. I called customer service about the problem.
they say there is a note on my file that says do not do anything with this. what does that mean? they say they will call when it is ready.
they never call. so disappointing this is the company I trust with my health and they don't give a damn.

2 1/2 months and 3 calls to get a billing statement
Needed specific billing statement to get reimbursed for $400 co pay. After 3 weeks,bill was not ready yet.
Call in a 2 wks. Then bill 'in the mail' 2 weeks later (3 calls later) they can only request another dpt to send it again.
They will not email or overnight. Reimbursement takes 4 weeks from another company but they require the paperwork from CVS now reimburse no next treatment
User's recommendation: Speed up the process. it should not take 2 1/2 months to get bill and you should not have to call to request it.
Information why my refill medication is late coming
I still do not have my Medication for my MS. I should of received it over two weeks ago.
I talked to someone at my Doctors office and also at CVS Specialty care.
I am still waiting for my medication request to be approved.
CVS waiting until I needed a refill of my medication to request a new authorization and not following through to get the authorization until I questioned them about it has left me with no medication and could put my health at risk. I want this situation resolved immediately.
Giant pain in the backside
The first drug I was on, they kept losing my paperwork, then claiming they mailed the dugs but didn't. Then my doctor changed my meds and flipped me to an infusion where CVS Specialty worked with my infusion center to deliver the drugs.
Things were going swimmingly for a couple years when they suddenly decided to stop working with my infusion center and start calling me to make arrangements. I would in a demanding job and I am not always near my phone. They call and leave a message and when I call them back, I sent on hold for an obscene amount of time. I do not have time for this.
I have explained this to them repeatedly but yet they continue to play this game. I am going to miss my infusion tomorrow because they played this game only I don't remember them calling me.
Preferred solution: Please work with my infusion center for drug delivery.

If I could get this from another company I would! Started out with a call to start the prescription which included the rep telling me I could have it sent directly to me then telling me they would have to ship to my dr.
The 1st 4 months I spent on the phone and average of 30 minutes answering questions and giving my drs address like it was never entered in the record. Then a simple notification for 3 moths that the meditation was being shipped to my Dr.
This month they started in again! Time for refill notification came saying that I needed to call them and give them my Dr's address. When I did the agent told me it was on file and I could renew on the app!
She had no explanation for the notification I got. That was last week. This week I got another refill notification. This time it needs prior authorization.
When I call in the guy tells me they just got it and I'll have to redo the refill. Transfer to a woman who informs me no prior auth on file.
They will call my Dr.
I am at my wits end with this company. It's like a series of the 3 Stooges, only not funny!

It took me 45 days and 15 hours on hold to get my prescription filled. Every time I called, which at one point, was almost daily.
And daily I was told I was missing "X" different documentation. One place they told me I needed to reach was not even the source for my grant. The grant resource was a different company all together. That company that was the source of my thousands of dollars copay and had submitted the paperwork and documentation TWICE.
I was out of my medication all together for two weeks before it was filled and had to be tytrated back up again when I finally got the medication. I spoke to three different "senior" conflict resolution specialists. When I told them three + times I was reporting them all of a sudden my prescription was filled. Being without my medication meant that my tardive disconesia was exacerbated.
That meant that my feet, legs, hands all were moving. My balance and rocking motion was all present.

Worst specialty pharmacy
It took me over 2 weeks, being placed on hold for literally hours to speak with someone, speaking with 17 different people, and about 15 hours on the phone to get my prescription for my chronic serious heath condition. People would promise to call me back and never call be back.
I was told the matter was resolved and the meds would be shipped, the meds would never ship. This is the ABSOLUTE WORST SPECIALITY PHARMACY that I have ever dealt with and there have been many. I can't imagine they don't have major liability issues in not getting meds to their patients in a timely manner.
They are absolutely deplorable and most of the customer service reps take no responsibility or accountability for their actions. If I could give negative stars I would.

Ripped off at drive through
went to pu a prescription- didnt have my goodrx with me- asked gal if the difference was significant. she stated "only a few dollars'
was chged 167.00 for prescription skin creme.
with good rx would have been 100.00 less. they never answer their phones and refuse to reimburse me for ripping me off.
found out afterwards, Wegmans would have only been 35. better to shop at Wegmans, where they treat you right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
no more cvs for me.
promise to bad mouth them all my days. hope it was worth it to you.

I have a chronic illness which require multiple generic medications on a daily basis. It is well known the FDA does not regulate inactive ingredients in generic medications.
Accordingly, the bioavailability of each generic can vary significantly impacting the efficacy of each medication. I confirmed on multiple occasions with the "specialists" at from the CVS Simple Dose Team the few specific generics I required were AVAILABLE from both of their distributors- Cardinal and McKesson. I spent HOURS working with “pharmacy technicians” who incidentally know nothing about pharmaceuticals as well as actual pharmacists. Additionally, I have all of my call records detailing each conversation.
It was only after all of this effort that I was informed due to “popular response" they were no longer honoring their promise of specified generics. I was told I was notified, which I wasn't- again inbound call records proof. I requested a call back from senior management to inquire about their DAW code policies. If my physician writes a Rx + “Dispense As Written” with a specific name or generic brand they are legally obligated to fill it as such.
Surprise no call back.
I was overjoyed when I found a pharmaceutical solution to alleviate the stress of medication management only to be suckered punched by their bait and switch scheme. Curious anyone else has this experience?

Very Slow sending Prescriptions
Doctor ordered a new prescription on Dec 1, and they say they can't get it to me till Dec 8. I asked the lady why it can't be sent overnight like they have done with other medications and she ignored me twice. Lousy customer service, and they know we are stuck with them!!!@

I totally agree with you because I have been dealing with a similar situation for over two years and I still haven’t gotten it resolved. I have been waiting now for over two months for a revised invoice that I have not received yet.
Every time I call they are sending my request to another department and I should receive the revised invoice in two weeks.
The sad thing is that I am trying to give them extra money. I have requested many times for them to remove a discount, and send me an invoice for the full amount that they billed to my insurance company.
