I have not received my meds. Refill was requested 2 weeks ago. This is ridiculous, having to write a long explanation.

Inability to resolve drug co-payment issue

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I receive a monthly injection for which I receive a co-pay from the drug company. At some point in the process, whatever approval needed to be renewed or resubmitted was not, and a payment was not made in full to CVS Pharmacy.

Since September 2025 (now January 2026), I have received weekly phone calls, emails, and correspondence from CVS Specialty Pharmacy requesting payment (though all shots before and after September 2025 have been paid in full), and in spite of multiple attempts at resolving the issue with discussions with the payment resolution area and the drug copay agent, CVS Specialty Pharmacy did not take the necessary actions to properly resubmit the claim to the copay company for payment, though they continued to regularly harass me.

I believe this is a system issue. Unfortunately, my current insurance carrier requires I use CVS Specialty Pharmacy, but I will explore changing that at my next earliest opportunity.

Your prescription was filled after the prior drug company copay card expired and BEFORE the new one was activated. The drug company copay card needs its start date edited to the fill date.

Unfortunately that’s not CVS’s responsibility. That’s between you, the drug company who administers the card and the doctor.

FYI, I have a similar psoriasis med with CVS and a copay card. You need to sign up for text alerts so NOTHING is filled and shipped until you reply “Y” to the price.

I rate them. ( -10)The worst specialty pharmacy I'm forced to use. Been out of meds for months. CVS and CVS specialty pharmacy's don't talk to each other.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Both specialty pharmacy's should communicate with each other to help their customers.

Specialty pharmacy can't be reached without a 7 digit number and there isn't an option for help. Their AI sucks.

Horrifyingly Bad Customer Service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

This is the singularly worst pharmacy with which I've ever had the misery of having to work, but thanks to a specialty medication that my insurance only allows to be filled by this provider, I'm stuck with this place. Since we were forced to switch to them, they have managed to get EVERYTHING wrong to the extent that my time-sensitive, life-saving medication has been late at most a full month and at least 5 days **every single month** since we were forced to switch to them.

On top of that, my insurance switched from billing it as a pharmaceutical benefit to a medical one.

When it did, it became a medical benefit with a maximum Out of Pocket expense of $X. I met that in early April, but this pharmacy -- being both to incompetent to understand a medical vs. pharmaceutical benefit and thus messing it up every month in that regard as well as too incompetent to understand a basic medical insurance principle of in-network Maximum OOP--has wasted now more than 108 hours of my time in calls trying to get them to process claims correctly (months before they could handle the medical vs. pharmaceutical benefit requirement, so that took a minimum of 3 and once 9 hours of a day on a phone EACH time to manage), to bill correctly (under pharmaceutical, I had no copay; so at the very least, under medical I should be gaining the benefit of my maximum OOP.

But no. This provider and my insurance can't talk to each other), and lastly just getting my medications in a timely way (my provider that has to manage the ordering and provision of the medication has, too, spent dozens of hours in the circular loop of this pharmacy's inept processes and constant (and I am not being hyperbolic here--I do mean constant) inability to handle a single medication on a monthly basis with any semblance of customer service skills or predictability.

I would rather make my own medication in my bathtub using 1918 prohibition era, un-sterilized materials than work with this company. They are absolutely THE WORST. If you have them, lawyer up and demand your insurance work with another provider.

That's what I'm doing. You will NEVER get your needs met with this place.

Oh, and I didn't even tell you about the constant bouncing-around-from one person to another (once, I was bounced SEVEN times) because the departments can't communicate with one another. Conway's Law tells us that institutional change can only ever mimic the existing communication structure of an organization--so with silos like the ones CVS SPSpecialtycialty has, I expect that any change they might make will be equally as inept and isolating as their failed communications attempts

User's recommendation: RUN! Lawyer up and force a new pharmacy with your insurer. These people cannot help you. You MUST go elsewhere at whatever cost (and make them pay for the cost of that lawsuit).

Poor customer service . Patient neglect

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

My medication arrived 5 days . I placed an order for a refill on 5-10 -24.

When the time of my appointment was approaching I checked online and it was still in processing 7 days later . I was supposed to get my injections on may 17 th and did not get my injections until today 5-21-24. If I didnt call or check the website I probably would have waited another week or more . Someone needs to take the responsibility !

Now I have to call every time to make sure that my medication is refilled on time ? Thats what I was told by customer resolution team . It should Not be so complicated to process everything on time .

Im paying a lot of money with my insurance to receive the medical care that I need on the monthly basis ! This is unacceptable!

Terrible customer service

Poor follow-up that delayed meds that I need to slow down the scarring on my lungs due to pulmonary hypertension. No follow up to tell me the meds would be delayed.

This medicine that is meant to prolong my life as a result of COVID. Terrible follow-up, terrible explanation. I was told to disregard my pulmonary rehab because the delivery had not happened.

I need it to learn to walk again. WTF?!

Worst Customer Service and Benefit Access

I am forced to use CVS Specialty and every RX / refill it takes me ~ 2 hours of battling with representatives on the phone. I get calls or letters from them, I call back and no one know why Im calling.

The letters are generic and provide no details to RX name or date just a threat that we better use CVS Sp. CVS Sp blames the Dr and insurance CVS Caremark and Specilaty dont help the patient at all through the process. I have dealt with this since 2019, prior I could request the same RX and go pick it up anywhere I wanted. Now they argue and try not to assist in staying healthy then have to end up overnighting the meds.

All of which is much higher cost to them.

I wish I could get be them a negative rating. I have left reviews with CVS directly on their app and still nothing

Poor customer service with significant consequences.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Poor service resulting in a one month delay to refill a prescription as a direct result of information provided by customer was entered in error and resulted in a continuous cycle of rejection regarding refill completion. Multiple on hold hours brought no results. Finally a representative from manufacturer contacted CVS and the error was discovered
